Eagan Funfest Ambassador Information meeting

Seeking Eagan Funfest Ambassador Candidates

(Eagan, MN) Are you between the ages of 10-19 and not yet graduated from high school?  Would you like to participate in an outstanding leadership program and have the opportunity to become a year round Ambassador for Eagan’s July 4th Funfest?  .

As a candidate, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with adults and  children while being involved in activities that support the Eagan community,  acquiring relationship-building skills and gaining new confidence in public speaking. Candidate activities include a wide variety of events: a family potluck gathering, volunteering for community events, an appearance in Eagan’s July 4th Funfest Parade and participation in the Brain Freeze Ice Cream Eating Contest during Funfest.

A panel of judges will make final Ambassador selections based on public presence and behind the scenes interaction. Social skills, communication, attitude and volunteerism all play a part in the judging process.  .

The program is open to young men and women who live, go to school or worship in Eagan.  The application deadline is May 30, 2014.  Learn more about the candidate program and get your questions answered at the Candidate Information Meeting being held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Wescott Library—1340 Wescott Road, Eagan, MN 55123.
