
Argosy University, Twin Cities is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an informal discussion and employer panel highlighting experts in the field of criminal justice and law enforcement on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at its campus, located at 1515 Central Parkway in Eagan. The event is open to the public and offered at no charge.
The event begins at 4 p.m. with an informational meeting with Dr. Eric Evenson, Psy. D., L. P., Chief Psychologist of the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Waseca, MN to discuss the psychology of offenders and a gender-specific trauma based residential treatment unit. Dr. Evenson is a graudate of the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
An employer panel will begin at 5 p.m. with experts in varying higher education and criminal justice/law enforcement backgrounds. Panel members include individuals from private security firms, the Minnesota Department of Human Services, recruiters from the Mall of America and Federal Bureau of prisons, State Operated Forensic Services (SOFS) sex offender program, as well as Dr. Evenson. Panelists will be discussing their career paths and experiences as well as the hiring trends in this growing field of employment. Additionally, the panel members will describe steps that job seekers will need to take when seeking public and private sector employment in the criminal justice and law enforcement industry.
