Izzy's last official blog as Eagan Funfest Ambassador

The Eagan Funfest Ambassador Program has helped shape me into the person I am today. Although my reign is coming to an end, I would love to recognize some of the events that I have grown from the most.

During this year, my confidence has been boosted so much! From bagging groceries for strangers at Cub, to surveying people at Eagan Market Fest, I can talk or introduce myself to anyone at any place. The crown and sash aren’t the reasons for my confidence.  It comes from the opportunities that I have been given and the growth from participating in this program!

From fundraising on one day to a parade on the next, having dedication is a big part of fulfilling this honor. On the day of the Winter Carnival parade, it was snowing and FREEZING! While I could’ve been snuggled up inside my room, I was marching in a parade with a ten pound snowflake in my hands! BRRRR! But it was worth it and my dedication makes me proud to say I have gone to almost every event!

 Even though gaining confidence and proving my dedication have been important, it is expressing my personality that has been my biggest improvement. I came in as a shy, reserved girl and will come out of this program as a brave girl looking for every adventure! I have grown in good sportsmanship as well as being able to not get red in the face if I accidently spill milk on myself. One of my favorite events was at Think Bank during their Halloween Pumpkin Patch celebration! The ambassadors got to dress in a costume. My personality shined through when I wore a pink wig, sparkly apparel, and high tops. I looked like I was some kind of celebrity! I had a wonderful time finally letting some pink into the ambassador dress code! J

 My year has been the greatest and I can’t thank the Ambassador Committee and my sponsor, Enhance Dentistry, enough for all your help and support! I hope you enjoyed my last blog as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador of 2013-2014. Have a great day! Maybe I will see you around Eagan!
