Katherine last blog of the Ambassador year

Hi all,
This is Eagan Funfest Ambassador Katherine Wilmes. My year of reign has totally flown by and I cannot believe I am sharing my experiences in my blog for the last time. Just as the previous Ambassadors told us, the year goes by in the blink of an eye!
    Looking back on these previous months, I can't believe how far I've come. I have become more comfortable speaking with others and being myself than ever before. I have so many people to thank for this. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for The Funfest Ambassador Committee. I can't begin to explain the work my friends Karen, Mike, Cory, and so many others have put in to make this program awesome. Also, I thank my wonderful sponsor, "The Art of Framing." Their generosity has made this all possible.
    My adventures as an Ambassador have been unreal. I have learned so much and have had so many great experiences! I never thought I would be able to help my community and have fun with friends in so many great ways. I've got my royal sisters to thank for that. Izzy, Julia, Karina, Ashlyn, and Sarah, I love you all very much and would like to thank you for not only making this year fun and full of smiles, but also for being great friends. This year has had its stressful times with a teenager's busy schedule, but this journey has been priceless.
     As you can tell, I will never forget my experiences as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador. But, I am so happy to be able to let others share similar experiences. The program would not exist without the candidates, so if you are interested, why not? You will never forget it, even just as a candidate. Smiling in parades, meeting new people, and helping your community are memorable experiences that will last a lifetime- take it from me.
