3 Titans Test Positive For COVID; Vikings Shut Eagan Facilities

EAGAN, MN — The Minnesota Vikings closed their practice facilities in Eagan on Tuesday after members of the Tennessee Titans football team tested positive for coronavirus. The Vikings played the Titans on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium, losing 30-31.

ESPN broke the news Tuesday morning.

"On Tuesday morning, the Titans COVID testing results returned three player positives and five new personnel positives. The Titans will suspend in-person club activities starting today," the NFL and the NFL Players Association said in a joint statement.

"Likewise, the Vikings, who played the Titans on Sunday, will also suspend in-person club activities. Both clubs are working closely with the NFL and the NFLPA, including our infectious disease experts, to evaluate close contacts, perform additional testing and monitor developments. All decisions will be made with health and safety as our primary consideration. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available."

The 0-3 Vikings are scheduled to play the Texans, who are also winless, Sunday in Houston.
