2. Three Women Charged in Dakota County Retail Theft Cases Involving More Than $6,500 in Merchandise (limitless-news.com) — Felony theft charges tied to a May 2025 incident at an Eagan retail store now have two women from the Twin Cities metro headed to court this fall. Prosecutors say those alleged thefts, combined with a separate Lakeville Walgreens case, involve more than $6,500 in merchandise. All three defendants have October court dates in Hastings and remain presumed innocent.
   

3. Two Men Charged With Felony Fleeing in Separate Dakota County Cases (limitless-news.com) — An Eagan traffic stop that began with a speeding Dodge Charger allegedly ended with the driver fleeing, leading to a felony charge now headed to court. In a separate case, a motorcyclist accused of going 115 mph in Mendota Heights faces the same felony count. Both men are scheduled for first appearances October 13 at the Dakota County Judicial Center in Hastings.
   

4. Girls volleyball: Ponies fall to second-ranked Eagan (hometownsource.com) — Eagan High School's second-ranked Wildcats swept Stillwater 3-0 at home, reinforcing Eagan's status as one of Minnesota's top volleyball programs. The Ponies briefly led late but couldn't hold off Eagan's comeback, highlighted by strong middle blocking and balanced offense. The match adds to a tough early schedule featuring other state powerhouses.
