Sarah Fischer reports in on Eagan Funfest Ambassador activities

This year is truly going by so fast!  My fellow Ambassadors and I have gone to so many fun events lately.  One of my favorites, was Lone Oak Days at Holz Farm.  It was a fall festival celebration with so many cool activities.  The pony ride station was definitely the most popular with the little kids.  I really enjoyed volunteering there because the kids were very excited and always full of energy.  Lone Oak Days offered a lot of other festivities like corn husk doll making, pumpkin and vegetable sales, and homemade bread.  It was definitely tons of fun!  I also really enjoyed going to the Can Do
Canines event.  The dogs are trained for different purposes depending on whom the dog is assigned to. They are trained to help people who have diabetes, vision, hearing, and sight impairments.  It was very cool to see the dogs graduate with their new owners.  The stories I heard about how the service dogs can have such a big impact on their owners was very inspirational.  I even got a chance to talk with some of the dog owners after and learn my name in sign language!
