An updated report from one of Eagan's Funfest six Ambassadors

Hello! This is Eagan Funfest Ambassador, Mia Eisenberg. The Ambassadors have been very busy the last month and a half with different events each week. So far we’ve attended The Hopkins Raspberry Festival Coronation and Ball, the Rosemount Leprechaun Days Parade, the Aquatennial Coronation, Etiquette Boot Camp, the Shakopee Derby Days Parade, National Night Out, Can Do Canines, and the St. Paul Park Heritage Days parade.
I am so glad to be able to spend my time with five amazing new friends. I’ve already talked about the Hopkins coronation and the Rosemount parade, so I am going to talk about the events after that.
First, the Aquatennial coronation. It was so much fun with the 47 candidates! It was also very fun trying to guess what girls were going to win with Payton, Hanna, and Kari.
Etiquette Boot Camp was fun too. We had pizza and cookies to eat and we learned all about how to be a better Ambassador. It was fun having Mary, Elle, and Lauren teaching us.
The Shakopee Derby Days Parade was hot! We had a lot of fun singing Happy Birthday to Reece. We chewed on ice cubes from another float (Thank you!) and we had some stilt walkers hitch a ride back to the start of the parade. They talked to us and even showed us how their stilts worked.
National Night Out was great! We were all able to do something super fun including running the bouncy house, the blowup maze, serving food, and handing out drinks. It was great being able to help out the community.
Finally, at the St. Paul Park Heritage Days Parade, we had so much fun riding on the convertibles. Avery rode in Laurie Turner’s dark blue convertible. Reece and I rode on my grandparents red 1953 Ford convertible. Kari rode on Mike Ferber’s blue Miata. We even got to wear our formal gowns (and suit)! The weird part of that parade was that there were ducks in somebody’s backyard! It was really cool to see. We spent the rest of the walk back to our convertibles trying to convince our parents to let us get ducks and goats for our backyard. We weren’t very successful.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
Yours,
Mia Eisenberg
