For his 7th birthday, Zane decided, instead of gifts, he is asking for donations for other children to get a present on their birthday. So his Mom, Michelle, set up a fundraiser for Cheerful Givers through Razoo where he is hoping to raise at least $150.
"When talking about presents, I mentioned the presents from last year that he didn't even remember and suggested donating to a nonprofit instead. He was interested and when I mentioned Cheerful Givers, he was totally on board and excited to raise money for kids. Cheerful Givers was the one organization that he could really relate to in thinking of kids not getting something on their birthday. I also have received a lot of positive feedback from the parents of the kids invited to his party. It is much easier to donate vs. going out to buy a present that may or may not be wanted/needed" said Michelle.
