• 2026 sugarbeet planting marked by difficult weather conditions (agweek.com) — Sugarbeet fields in the East Grand Forks factory district are only in early emergence after a spring marked by damaging high winds and replanting across the region. American Crystal Sugar reports about 10% of its 397,000 acres had to be replanted, but overall crop conditions from Minnesota to North Dakota and beyond are now rated average to excellent heading into June.
