• EP area schools seek 12 tutors (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie Schools are seeking 12 AmeriCorps tutors in reading, math, and early learning for several local elementary sites this coming school year, with paid training and flexible hours. Positions include placements at Little Eagle Preschool, Eagle Heights, Cedar Ridge, Eden Lake, Oak Point, and Prairie View, and offer stipends, education awards, and health insurance for full-time tutors. Applications are due September 19, with service starting in October.
   

• Senior Center wine club blends learning with social connection (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie seniors are gathering monthly at the Eden Prairie Senior Center's wine club to learn about different wines while building friendships and community. Led by rotating wine experts, the $10 sessions cap attendance for a cozy feel and welcome seniors from Eden Prairie and nearby cities. The center also offers book clubs, walks, games, and trips to help older adults stay connected.
   

• EP's 2026 State Fair winners in Creative Arts (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie residents brought home an impressive range of Creative Arts awards from the 2026 Minnesota State Fair, from decorated cookies and maple syrup to quilts, crochet, woodworking, and porcelain painting. Local names appear across baked goods, canning, garment making, needlework, and senior crafts, with several residents earning multiple first-place finishes and sweepstakes honors. It's a strong showing of hometown talent on the state stage.
