  • All recreational programming and events are suspended until further notice.
  • Staff members are monitoring the situation daily and will make plans in accordance with standards set by public health officials.
  • If you are currently registered for a summer program, you will be contacted via email about the program’s status at least 30 days before the scheduled start date.
  • If we are unable to offer summer programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, full refunds will be automatically issued for those who have already registered.
  • In addition, you may choose to cancel your registration at any time up to 7 days prior to the start of the program for a full refund.

To cancel a registration and request a refund, email Parks@edenprairie.org and include the registration details.

Xcel Energy Update

Much of Xcel Energy's work is continuing as it would. Many critical infrastructure employees are still working on projects to ensure reliability, respond to emergencies and complete new work. In order to maintain social distancing in their work, crews drive separately to sites, so more trucks may appear on site. Because of this, a minor job can give the appearance of something much bigger. Other protective measures being taken are equipping crews with personal protective gear, maintaining proper distance and much greater use of mobile devices to communicate with the team and customers.

During this time, tree trimming remains essential to ensure minimized risk of trees or limbs causing outages when they are near power lines. With spring storm season right around the corner, maintaining adequate space between trees and overhead facilities is critical.

Xcel Energy is asking the public to keep their distance from crews in the field to help keep everyone healthy and safe. They are also continuing to work with state leaders on opportunities to minimize financial impacts for customers.
