Driver Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Four-Vehicle Crash on I-494 in Eden Prairie (limitless-news.com) — A serious four-vehicle crash on westbound I-494 at Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie left a 55-year-old Sunfish Lake man with life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon. State Patrol reports say his Mercedes lost control from the left shoulder, striking three other vehicles; road conditions were dry, and investigators are still determining whether alcohol was a factor.

Players and coaches highlight resilience, selflessness, and strong contributions across the roster as they represented Eden Prairie against top teams statewide, while emphasizing the relationships and off-field memories that defined their summer.
   

3. Annunciation students transitioning to high school takes special care (thecatholicspirit.com) — Eden Prairie parishioners Dan and Therese Kosch of Pax Christi helped launch a one-time scholarship fund so Annunciation eighth-graders affected by last year's tragic church shooting could afford Catholic high school together. Their effort, supported by donors across the archdiocese, funded 31 scholarships to three local Catholic high schools, while Academy of Holy Angels prepares trauma-informed support for incoming Annunciation students.
   

4. Walz moves to protect Boundary Waters from mining (sctimes.com) — An Eden Prairie Democrat, Rep. Alex Falconer, is closely involved in the legal fight to stop copper-nickel mining near the Boundary Waters, even as Gov. Tim Walz signs an executive order banning such projects there. The order could reshape northern Minnesota's economy, spark major lawsuits, and become a central issue in the next governor's race, with both parties already sharply divided.
