• Eagles crush Edina in 36-0 romp (eplocalnews.org) — Eden Prairie's football team steamrolled Edina 36-0 behind a dominant offensive line and a huge first half from junior running back Owen Konrad, who racked up 260 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles, now 3-0 and ranked second statewide, also stifled Edina's offense and will return home to face St. Michael-Albertville at Aerie Stadium on Friday. 
• Independent candidates make case beyond two-party system (eplocalnews.org) — Independent and third-party candidates recently gathered at TJ Hooligans in Eden Prairie to argue that Minnesota voters should look beyond the traditional two-party system. Local Senate District 49 hopeful Kris Babler and statewide candidates Jay Reeves and Chip Tangen emphasized nonpartisan oversight, dissatisfaction with both major parties, and how independent voices could influence close legislative margins at the Capitol.
