A Two-for-One Deal on Greyhounds
These Italian Greyhounds are available for adoption through Secondhand Hounds.
Emma Lou and Kody’s foster parent Kathryn Smith calls them a “bonded pair.”
“The female is more outgoing but always worried where her little guy is,” Smith said. “If he makes a little squeak, she is there.”
Because of this strong bond, these Italian Greyhounds must be adopted together. They are great with the five other dogs in their foster home, good with cats, and have been just fine with small children as well—though it’s important to watch children with this breed, Smith said, as Italian Greyhounds are prone to broken legs.

Despite their loving and friendly personalities, Emma Lou and Kody—who were surrendered by their owner—have been in foster care waiting for a forever home for two months. They have two strikes against them, Smith said: they are older (Emma Lou is 9 years old and Kody is 10) and they need to be adopted together.
As long as they’re together, they are content, affectionate and fun.

“These are the friendliest dogs ever,” Smith said.
