Help Her, Rhonda
This American Bull Dog/Pit Bull Terrier mix is available for adoption through Secondhand Hounds.
Recently rescued from animal control by Edina-based organization Secondhand Hounds, Rhonda is an American Bull Dog/Pit Bull Terrier mix with a winning personality: playful yet mature, and friendly with people, pups and felines alike.
Jacob West is Rhonda’s foster parent and the bully breed foster coordinator for Secondhand Hounds. He said Rhonda does very well on leash, prancing and smiling each time they go for a walk.
“Rhonda is a big, cuddly sweetheart,” West said. “Her favorite thing in the world is to go for long walks. She gets so excited when she sees me grab a leash and a plastic bag.”

Rhonda has proven herself to be a tough pup as well. She tore her ACL less than two months ago while playing at the dog park and subsequently had surgery to repair it. West said she’s already back to her happy-go-lucky self and it’s as if she was never injured.
Since it was founded in August of 2009, Secondhand Hounds has placed more than 1,600 pets in loving homes. If you believe you have a forever home for Rhonda, you can fill out an adoption application on the Secondhand Hounds website.
