Foundation provides exercise equipment to ProAct

The Bloomington-based ULLR Foundation has given $1,000 to ProAct, Inc. in Red Wing for the purchase of exercise equipment, including a manual treadmill, strength resistance training machines and a recumbent bike.  The donation helps ProAct to strengthen its emphasis on healthy living and exercise for people with developmental disabilities, said Sally Ogren, director of programs.

The ULLR Foundation is the philanthropic division of the ULLR Ski, Bike & Social Club.  Its mission is to raise money to provide equipment and promote participation in skiing, biking, and other sports for physically and mentally challenged individuals of all ages.  ProAct is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation which has served the needs of people with disabilities and other challenges for 40 years.  It has facilities in Eagan, Red Wing, Zumbrota and Hudson, Wis.,
