Boys Lacrosse Honors Teachers

The Edina High School boys lacrosse team is starting a tradition of having each senior recognize a teacher that made a impression on them during their years in the Edina Schools.

Last night the Edina boys lacrosse team defeated Hopkins at Kuhlman Stadium.  During halftime of the game the Seniors started a new boys lacrosse tradition of recognizing the teacher that has most influenced them during their years in the Edina school system. Each player and the teacher they selected were introduced and walked together on to the field, while the announcer read a short story how the teacher had influenced the athletes lives. This event made an impact not only on the teachers and the senior athletes but all the athletes and the fans at the game. Both Edina Superintendent Ric Dressen and Athletic Director Troy Stein were at the game. It was a great event that will be the start of a long Edina Boys lacrosse tradition!
