Berger’s Writings Bother Me—How About You?

Should Edina put Jason Berger in charge of our children, considering opinions he now admits publishing?

Should Edina put Jason Berger in charge of our children, considering opinions he now admits publishing?

I know that this Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the League of Women Voters Forum, there are persons ready to ask School Board Candidate Jason Berger to explain-away the onerous things he now admits publishing, anonymously. Writings which I and many other Edinans believe denigrate women, other men, homosexuals, perhaps races and more.

I do not believe there is any possible way to 'explain away' certain writings [excerpted and linked below].

All of his candidate position papers and heavily blogged education philosophies can not overcome the concerning things he wrote as a formerly anonymous blogger.

And there is the crux of it. Should a person who writes such things be elected in charge of our children?

There are three remaining candidates for the three positions who, based on my equally diligent search, have not done anything like this at all. I now choose them.

Because he wrote that he denied ever writing a blog, my previous  set out to prove that the Bergers—plural, supposedly anonymously—write insidious blogs with strong controversial writings and in some cases pictures about who they target.

Blogspot.com only has one author "vonberger." ConservativeCravings blog has two authors, TripleThreat and VonBerger. VonBerger also solo writes the Blogspot blog The Occidental Man.

Last Friday, Jason Berger , especially the worst parts.

So now to his writings – Jason Berger's published beliefs, from not all that long ago.

Regardless of left or right beliefs, most of us agree on equal opportunity, rights, fairness, as well as on issues of bullying. Many of us do not accept sexual variations but even then most believe in private rights.

Here Jason Berger appears to believe in sexism, gender bias, unequal rights (men should dominate), name calling, and is against consensus, which is how the historically successful Edina School Board operates. Haven’t read it?

From Jason Berger’s Occidental Man blog Articles [Emphasis Added]

"...the Democratic Party has become the party of single women, soft males, and homosexuals. It is not just a bumpersticker saying, "I neutered my cat today. Now he's a liberal". There is a deeply ingrained truth to this.

The Soft Male is one who:
1. Believes himself to be the New Man, free of traditions and archetypes of the past.
2. Empathizes with feminism
3. Is an "equal partner" in his marriage.
4. Seeks to build consensus
5. Is uncomfortable in the company of masculine men
Without him, the feminist and homosexual would be far from the levers of power. Think about men like: Barack Obama, Mayor R.T. Rybak....

...Acceptance of abortion and euthanasia is obviously just the tip of the ice berg. Environmentalism, when followed to it's naturally absurd conclusion means that more people must die (or prevented from birth). Homosexual marriage is a fruitless endeavor, devoid of natural life. Feminism is the whispering of Satan in the ears of women to say, "You're getting a raw deal, eat of the apple and become like men!". This creates women who are unsatisfied with marriage, men, family, and children. Again, death wins.

...You have today, a group of people, mostly unwittingly driven towards a future with fewer and smaller people. Now we can stop discussing the smaller issues and focus on simply defeating them...."

Defeating? At the end of this article I've included Jason Berger's The Gates of Vienna writing, his plan of how to "defeat the enemy."

From the website Stuff White People Like commenting on an article Comparing People to Hitler, he wrote:

"I mean really, hasn’t enough time passed where we may begin to look at the entire record of Chancellor Hitler; both the highs *and* the lows? It’s a matter of putting things into the proper context ; )"

Jason Berger says this is parody. Read the article, read other's comments and then his. It sure does not appear to be parody.

Then there is this concerning piece recommending takeover of the Knights of Columbus and Freemasons written years ago. Jason Berger has joined both of those organizations. From The Gates of Vienna website on the article The Emperor is Naked, Jason Berger writes :

"Your call to action is much awaited. We've all read enough VDH and Mark Steyn articles to choke a horse. Time to actually get out there and cause serious trouble for our enemy. This is how the Left gained the heights they now occupy. To do this will take something modern blogger types detest. You will need to organize, get away from the computer and come face to face. You will have to work with those whose personalities are irksome. All of that.

Apart from some kind of large gathering on an annual basis, you will need to organize local cells, much like our jihadi opponents. I would caution against trying to create such an organization from whole cloth. It's a waste of time. Men have had to band together in underground societies in all ages and countries. A movement in its nascent stage requires brotherhood, secrecy, exclusion, structure, discipline, etc. These organizations already exist, albeit in emaciated and moribund forms. I'm talking about fraternal societies: Freemasons, Knights of Columbus, Oddfellows, etc. Many of those dusty, old, orders will suit your needs quite well. A relative handful of young men can take over a sleepy/dying lodge and repurpose it. And no, this has nothing to do with the DaVinci Code, Dungeons and Dragons, cloak and dagger or any of that nonsense. This is meant to be practical advice, for what it's worth. Feel free to email me with discussions about how this might be done. vonberger@comcast.net"

Shouldn't that be enough quotations for you to be concerned, as am I, in having Jason Berger on the Edina School Board in charge of our children's education?

As political opinions they are his right, his free speech right. As a style of thinking and philosophy, I believe most Edinans want something different for our education process.

I've heard from quite a number of people, the vast majority thanking me, some questioning, some questioning motives, and some negative. Let me address questions:

1) This is not partisan. In fact I've been active in the Republican camp since 1960, same camp as Mr. Berger. The school board has traditionally been non-partisan. Until this year, in my memory, no party has ever endorsed or put its resources behind a candidate.

2) It started with a tip from an active Republican who knew Jason Berger was "VonBerger," one of the two writers of the Conservative Cravings blog and did it because he knew Jason Berger had lied when responding to a commenter in Jason's own Edina Patch blog by writing he had never blogged. Because of that Conservative Cravings blog's history, known to area politicos, as the source of anonymous vicious attacks, I set out to tie Jason Berger to VonBerger. Nothing more. The rest of his concerning writings with identification that tied it all to Jason Berger simply fell out of the woodwork on the internet so to speak.

3) Did I similarily research the other candidates? Yes, I did before publishing the first article. Nothing at all found on Sarah Patzloff, Leny Wallen-Friedman or Cathy Cella.

4) Am I doing this for another candidate? No, there is no connection whatsoever. But I am supporting the three remaining candidates for election. Politically they represent both parties for those who care, but inside this community all three are dedicated to public service for our common good.

5) Why did I do this? Because I care about Edina, our schools, and our children.

6) For the one person who referred to me as publicity-seeking, I am actually the opposite. There is no benefit for me in this. I have never, and never will, myself, run for an elected office.
