Cats commonly develop gingivitis, tartar and sometimes cavity-like lesions on their teeth. Most cats that develop dental disease are middle aged, but oftentimes, very young cats can have gingivitis and cavities, due to a genetic predisposition.

Regular dental cleanings, proper diet, treatment with antibiotics and other medications, extractions as needed, and other modalities may help keep your kittie's mouth healthy and fresh. Chronic dental disease is a constant source of infection, discomfort and halitosis.
