Comet Corn, Deep Fried Olives and Chop Dogs: New Foods at 2013 Minnesota State Fair

Deep fried olives, taco sliders and peanut butter and jelly malts and shakes will be among 47 new foods at this summer's Minnesota State Fair, fair officials announced Wednesday.
The list of new food fare at the fair also includes Chop Dogs and Comet Corn at the Blue Moon Dine-In Theater, owned by Steph and Mike Olson of Edina.
A few of the other new foods at the fair are: chocolate chili ice cream, English Toffee fudge puppy, grilled glazed donut, pork belly sliders and bourbon wurst.
The 2013 Minnesota State Fair starts Aug. 22 and runs through Sept. 2 (Labor Day).
