Cross the Border for Spooner Jack O' Lantern Festival
The festival is just a couple hours from the Twin Cities.

If you are want to get in the mood for Halloween as well as have some extra fun, head to Spooner, WI on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Between a two and three hour drive northeast of the Twin Cities, Spooner hosts its annual Jack O’Lantern Fest.
The festivities get underway with a youth football fundraiser pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. Throughout the day, there will be a farmer’s market, giant pumpkin weigh-ins, a games pavilion, a Jack O’ Lantern store, a pumpkin carving contest, a crafts fair, kids rides and a pet dressing contest.

From 2-6 p.m., the famous Oktoberfest Brew Tour takes place with stops at eight establishments in Spooner. Porch Dogs will provide live music from 3-5 p.m. The day’s activities conclude at 7:30 p.m., with a hockey game between Wisconsin Wilderness Hockey going up against the Sioux Lookout Flyers at the Northwest Sports Complex.
