Edina Community Channel 16 Nominated for Three Midwest Emmys

Parks and rec ads, monthly talk show tabbed

Edina Community Channel 16 has been nominated for three Emmys by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

 

The 2011 Emmy nominees were announced last Saturday. “Edina Girl,” a pair of spots produced for the Park & Recreation Department, was nominated in the Community/Public Service (PSA) Campaign category. The monthly talk show “In Edina” was nominated in the “Interview/Discussion – Program/Special/Series” category.

City Communications & Marketing Director Jennifer Bennerotte was nominated in the “Writer – Short Form” category.

Entries made to the Upper Midwest Chapter were judged by panels assembled by other National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Chapters. These judging panels are comprised of no fewer than five judges with no more than three of the judges employed by the same station or company. There may be one award, more than one award or no award given in each category.

 

The Emmy Awards will be presented Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Historic State Theater in downtown Minneapolis.
