Edina Family Frisbee Festival Happens Tonight
The Highlands Park event is just one part of this weekend's Flying Disc Championships.

The Edina Family Frisbee Festival and Minnesota Overall Flying Disc Championships will take place this weekend, with events scheduled at Edina’s Friday, June 8 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m to 8 p.m.
Tonight’s event will feature a family picnic at Highlands Park alongside numerous flying disc activities. People should plan to bring their own picnics to the zero-waste gathering, meaning what’s packed into the park is packed back out.

“We want to teach people to have fun without the waste,” said Paul Thompson, the event’s organizer.
Energy bars and sports drinks will be available on site and staff will be composting all food waste. Tonight’s picnic and all weekend activities will take place rain or shine.

Sunday’s events will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bryant Lake disc golf course and Normandale Park in Eden Prairie.
