Hornets Crush Polars in Regular-Season Finale

The Edina football team rolled to victory on Senior Night, and now prepares for the second season.

The Edina football team closed out the regular season with a 4-4 record after crushing North St. Paul 46-14 at Kuhlman Field on a frosty Friday night.

Diondre Green threw for two touchdown passes, one to Marley Allison and one to Graham Woodward, with Mark Handberg, Francisco Hardacker, John Bryan and Jack Rickert all running for one score apiece in the 32-point triumph.

The Hornets were never threatened on the night, rolling to a 27-0 halftime lead before putting it in cruise control in the second half on Senior Night.

Next up for Edina is the Section 6AAAAA playoffs, slated to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Seedings and opening-round opponents were not yet announced.
