Edina Man Allegedly Robbed at Gunpoint During Craigslist Transaction
An 18-year-old Minneapolis man is accused of robbing the victim after making arrangements to sell an iPhone.

An Edina man looking to purchase an iPhone via Craigslist got more than he bargained for, after he was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by a Minneapolis man.
The Star Tribune reports Gabriel R. Kimbrough, 18, made arrangements to sell an iPhone on Craigslist. Kimbrough is accused of calling the victim regarding the transaction, then making arrangements to meet him at the Dayton's Bluff area in St. Paul on Aug. 4.
Upon arriving at the location, the Edina man was reportedly robbed of $250 and a Samsung cell phone. Kimbrough has also been charged for the June 27 robbery of two men in the Frogtown neighborhood.

Officers reportedly caught Kimbrough at a residence in the 700 block of Plum Street in St. Paul, the same location where Steven E. Lewis, 26, was arrested after police say he fatally shot a Hamline University student responding to a similar Craigslist scam.
According to a complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court, Kimbrough had been with another unidentified suspect shortly before he robbed the Edina man.
