Edina, Minn., May 22, 2020 – The City of Edina’s Planning Commission will hold an electronic meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27. The Housing & Redevelopment Authority will meet 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28. Members of the public can watch the meetings live:

There are two public hearings scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting. One is for a proposed redevelopment of 5132 and 5148 Hankerson Ave. Donnay Homes would like to raze the existing four-plex and build two four-unit townhouses. The other public hearing is for a proposed subdivision with variances at 5928 Abbott Ave. The existing home on the lot would be torn down and two new homes built on two parcels.
Members of the public can participate in the public hearings by calling 800-374-0221 with Conference ID 8968709 during the meeting. Call in at least 15 minutes before you would like to speak, if possible. An operator will place you into a queue until it is your turn to speak. You will be muted until it is your turn to speak. After the public hearings, the call will end. Testimony for the public hearings can also be made online at BetterTogetherEdina.org. It is not necessary to provide testimony in more than one way.

The Housing & Redevelopment Authority meeting includes “Community Comment,” a time for members of the public to address anything not on the agenda or planned for a future public hearing. Members of the public can participate in Community Comment by calling 800-374-0221 with Conference ID 7394978. An operator will place you into a queue until it is your turn to speak.
