Edina’s Geronimo Energy Acquires Midwest Wind Energy

The acquisition expands the company's presence in Nebraska and Wisconsin and facilitates entry into the Illinois market for the first time.

An Edina-based developer of wind and solar energy projects is expanding its presence in Nebraska and Wisconsin, and entering the Illinois market for the first time, through the acquisition of a Chicago energy company, Twin Cities Business reported.

Edina’s Geronimo Energy acquired Midwest Wind Energy for an undisclosed amount.

Geronimo has three operating wind farms, including the Prairie Rose Wind Farm in southwestern Minnesota, according to the Pioneer Press.
