Edina Swimmer Headed to the University of Michigan
Madeleine Eden will be swimming for the Wolverines starting next year.

Edina swimming standout Madeleine Eden is headed to the University of Michigan, the Wolverines coach announced Friday.
Eden was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that set a state record at this year’s state tournament. She also placed eighth in the 100-yard butterfly and was a member of the Hornets 400-yard freestyle relay team that placed fifth.
CollegeSwimming.com ranks her as the eighth-best recruit in Minnesota, and she placed 26th in the 200-yard individual medley at the 2012 NCSA Junior National Championships.
Eden is one of six women's swimmers and one woman diver announced Friday. They join six other recruits signed in the fall.
"We are excited to bring this group of student-athletes into our program at the University of Michigan," a news release quoted head coach Mike Bottom. "We recruit swimmers who can not only have the potential to compete at high levels athletically, but who can also fit into the culture we are building, and these women are fine examples of both. This is an outstanding group of students and we look forward to working with them throughout their careers as they swim for Michigan."
