Advent Lessons and Carols

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a format for a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus which is traditionally followed at Advent or Christmas. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings, interspersed with the singing of carols and hymns.  Since 1984, St. Stephen's has held its own version of Lessons and Carols annually.  In fact, this year will be our 27^th annual event.  Plan to attend to and hear the Word of God, spoken and sung.
