
The Edina Chorale will present its major classical event of the year on Sunday, March 6 at 3:30 pm at the Church of St Patrick in Edina (Gleason Rd & Valley View Rd). The Chorale will perform a number of familiar pieces by Bach (Sanctus, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, Cantata #4) and Mozart (Requiem and Ave Verum). As depicted in the 1984 film, Amadeus, Mozart died prior to completion of Requiem. His wife, Constanze, a widow in need of financial support, had a student of Mozart’s complete the work. Her actions preserved this masterpiece for the world.
This concert will feature a 22-piece professional orchestra and soloists along with the 80-voice Edina Chorale and Chamber Chorale. Soloists are Lola Watson, Soprano; Clara Osowski, Mezzo Soprano; Adam Gedde, Tenor; and Nicholas Miguel, Bass-Baritone.

This concert is dedicated to the memory of Kali Mann, who died in a car accident on Christmas Eve 2010 and Greg Hultgren, who passed away in October, 2009. Both Kali and Greg are children of Chorale members.
