Studs Terkel's "Working"

Theatre of the Spirit will present Working.  Based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American Workers, Working is a musical exploration of 26 people from all walks of life.  The show paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world often takes for granted:  the school teacher, the housewife, the construction worker, the millworker, the fireman, and the waitress, to name a few.  The contemporary feel of the book and music written by Stephen Schwartz and james Taylor contains timeless truths about how our relationships to our work reveal core truths about our own humanness regardless of the trappings of the job itself.
