Study Skills and School Organization Workshop

 

Help your student become a more prepared learner at the middle school or high school level.  If your child struggles with or just needs to refine studying for tests, staying organized, note-taking or remembering information, then this is the perfect back-to-school workshop for him or her.  With a focus on building effective study habits, note-taking skills, strategies for time management, active listening, critical thinking and study systems, your student will return to school with the depth of knowledge and tools necessary to make it a great school year.

  • Setting goals and priorities
  • SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review)
  • PROTO (Preview, Read, Organize, Take Notes, Overview)
  • Avoiding procrastination
  • Managing time

 

Workshop Dates:

Workshop 1: August 13-16: 9:30-11am for Middle School Students

Workshop 2: August 13-16: 4:00-5:30pm for High School Students

 

Workshop 3: August 20-23: 9:30-11am for High School Students

Workshop 4: August 20-23: 1:00-2:30pm for Middle School Students

 

Cost: $150 per student; 25% discount for siblings or for referring a friend

All Workshops are held at the Edina Learning Center
