Colleges require results of a student's ACT or SAT score to
accompany each college application. College Tutors has worked with thousands of
students on this important aspect of college admissions. Before taking the actual test, College Tutors suggests taking a
FREE Practice test to gauge results and expectations. The test is scored and a
free results consultation is provided.
College
Tutors offers FREE ACT and SAT Practice Tests every other Thursday beginning June 19 through August 14. Tests are
offered at both 9am or 1pm, and last approximately 3 hours. Advance
registration is required by calling 952-285-7667. The test is offered at
either the Edina Learning Center or the Excelsior Learning Center.
College
Tutors mimics the setting of the actual test, as well as provides a free individual consultation
including test results to point out opportunities for
improvement, strengths and strategies to secure increased scores.

Colleges
value standardized tests more than ever. Over the last 15 years, more and more
colleges have emphasized high test scores.
Admissions offices also compete by offering the strongest candidates
money, and the last 15 years have seen the flowering of merit-based
scholarships. Prior to 1990, scholarship money was awarded only to athletic
recruits and to students with high financial need. Today, almost every
competitive 4-year college awards scholarships to entice academic talent, and
the assessment thereof is the SAT / ACT score.
Athletic
recruiters also use the SAT/ACT more than ever.
NCAA requirements propel coaches to leave promising recruits off their lists if
they do not have strong scores.
