The Copper Street Brass Quintet performs over 160 educational concerts during their season, and this March they’re bringing their entertaining and unique young people’s programs to the Minnesota Children’s Museum for a hands-on, interactive, fun musical experience for families with children of all ages! During The CSBQ’s two concerts, children will learn about the brass family, how brass instruments work, and music basics through familiar, exciting, and up-tempo music. After each show, kids can touch and try brass instruments and can even make their own instrument to take home!
Join The CSBQ for one of the two 25 minute shows followed by an instrument “petting zoo” where kids can touch and try brass instruments and even make their own instrument to take home! This concert features a variety of up-tempo music and introduces each of the brass instruments both alone and in the group. Educational concepts covered include higher and lower pitch, body movements in rhythm with music, learning about each brass instrument, and name that tune. The concert is free, with $9 admission to the Children’s Museum.
