Lane Closed at Xerxes, Crosstown Through Dec. 15

Traffic might be a bit backed up on northbound Xerxes Avenue through Dec. 15, as the roadway is down to only one lane at the Crosstown.

Congestion is anticipated for the busy intersection, according to MnDOT, while the right lane of the bridge is closed for repairs.

A vehicle traveling eastbound on Hwy. 62 earlier this week struck a beam on the Xerxes Avenue Bridge, prompting the sudden closure. The right lane for northbound motoritists will be closed until crews can make the proper repairs to the bridge, with work expected to be complete by Saturday, Dec. 15.
