When people pick Edina as a good place to live, they often first mention great schools.
Today we can take similar pride in the quality of our city leadership. During Jim Hovland's time as mayor, the city has stepped up to the challenges now facing every mature, built-out suburban community.
Redevelopment investments have been strategic and targeted to strengthen our local economy and better serve our changing population. Hovland has also emerged as an influential leader across the metro region -- another Edina advantage.
