Attorneys strengthen Firm’s ties to legal and business communities
Minneapolis, Minnesota (March 3, 2014) – One of Minnesota’s top civil litigating firms, the Minneapolis law firm of O’Meara, Leer, Wagner & Kohl, is continuing to build and strengthen its new leadership team with the addition of two new Shareholders. Today Managing Shareholder Shamus O’Meara announced attorneys Tim Eclov and Mike Skram have been named as Shareholders. The move comes just several months after O’Meara was named to head the Firm, and the announcement of three other leadership promotions. Since its founding 40 years ago, the firm of O’Meara, Leer, Wagner & Kohl has gained a national reputation for its enviable track record in business, commercial, education, workers’ compensation and insurance-related litigation.

Michael M. Skram, Shareholder— With the Firm since 2002, Michael Skram represents clients in Minnesota and Iowa in the areas of products liability, construction and personal injury defense from initial emergency response through appeal. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and has been recognized several times as a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics and Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine.
Timothy P. Eclov, Shareholder—Since 1988, Timothy Eclov has defended employers, insurers and self-insured clients in workers’ compensation matters. He has represented clients in several hundred trials as well as in many matters before the appellate courts. Eclov has a particular expertise in legal risk management issues involving large-exposure, complex work injuries, and is regularly consulted by clients about unique claims handling decisions.
