Police Chase Man On Foot Across Busy Edina Intersection: Watch

EDINA, MN — If you were waiting in traffic in the area of 77th Street Thursday, you might have witness a bizarre scene unfold in which police officers armed with tasers chased a man on foot across a busy Edina intersection. The incident originally began as a vehicle chase that was initiated on Gleason Road and made its way onto southbound Highway 100 from eastbound Highway 62.

The chase reached speeds of more than 80 miles per hour, according to WCCO.

After getting off the highway, the man is seen fleeing his car and running across Edina Industrial Boulevard. The man was eventually surrounded by police after entering a DoubleTree parking lot, KSTP reported.

It's unclear what led up to the chase, but the man was report to have been driving erratically, according to KARE 111.
