Ryan Carlson From Edina Public Schools Will Join Wayzata West Middle School As Principal

May 30, 2020 - Edina Public Schools announces the resignation of Ryan Carlson, assistant principal at South View Middle School. He has accepted the position of principal at Wayzata West Middle School.

Carlson joined EPS in 2014 and has been South View’s Assistant Principal for the past six years.

"Working in Edina for the past six years has been an absolute privilege and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I especially want to thank Dr. Beth Russell for hiring me six years ago, and Dr. Tim Anderson for being a tremendous leader and mentor the past four years,” Carlson said. “South View has an unbelievably talented staff and I'm so proud of the work we have done. I have enjoyed connecting with our learners and watching them grow and thrive beyond South View and have appreciated the partnerships we have with our tremendous parents and community."

Carlson will end his tenure with EPS on June 30. The search for a new assistant principal for South View Middle School will begin immediately.
