See Where Edina Residents Can Recycle Holiday Trees And Lights

The city offers tips about where to recycle trees, lights and food scraps and "stay green" this holiday season.

EDINA, MN —According to the city of Edina, Americans generate 23-percent more tons of waste in December than in any other month.

But it's possible to stay green while disposing of those items. That's why the city is reminding residents about their recycling options this holiday season.

Beginning Dec. 27, holiday trees can be recycled for free at SMSC Organics Recycling Facility in Shakopee, located at 1905 Mystic Lake Dr. South.
