Stress affects each and every one of us. From the newest born infant to the elderly, we are all constantly adapting to this destructive world around us. Chiropractic helps YOU properly adapt to these various stressors.

When we think about stress we tend to apply it to a mental state of feeling overwhelmed. While this is one example of stress, it also comes in many other shapes and forms. Stress is any physical, chemical, or mental force that our body must respond and adapt to. Exercising, sitting in traffic, and poor nutrition are all different examples of stress. Adapting to stress by the body takes place over our nervous system. Any interference in our nervous system hinders our body’s ability to adapt to stress. When our body fails to adapt to a stress we may become physically injured or express a symptom.

Chiropractors locate nervous system interference at the vertebral level. Misalignments in our spinal column, called vertebral subluxation, limit the performance potential of our nervous system. Chiropractors use specific adjustments to correct vertebral subluxations thereby removing the interference from the nervous system. This allows our body to properly adapt to life’s various stressors in a healthy and proactive way.
