Take caution with raw meat for animals
Raw meat diets are all the rage, but beware of bacteria.

Raw meat, in particularly chicken, can contain bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli and others, that can be harmful to pets and their owners. Currently, there is no objective evidence to indicate a health benefit from feeding raw diet. In addition to the potential for contamination, it may prove difficult to feed your pet a well balanced diet, especially for puppies, or dogs that suffer from medical conditions. Special hygiene considerations must be taken when handling raw meat, and strict guidelines must be followed, especially in households with children and immuno-compromised people.
