THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER (a screwball comedy!!) Presented by Valley View 8th & 9th grade Thespians

Set in the 1930s, The Man Who Came to Dinner centers on Sheridan "Sherry" Whiteside, a world-famous eccentric and acid-tongued radio personality, who is disabled after slipping on ice on the doorstep of the Stanleys, a prominent Ohio family.  Confined to a wheelchair in the unwilling family's home for a few days, Sherry Whiteside proceeds to turn the household upside-down, and discovers what he believes to be problems in the lives of those around him.  When he discovers his leg is fine, Mr. Whiteside bribes the local small town doctor to declare him unfit to leave for a few more weeks, and hatches a plot to fix all the perceived problems, including those of his personal secretary, Maggie Cutler. But will he end up alienating those he holds most dear?   Join us for this hilarious, holiday romp.

Performances are Dec 5, 6 & 7 (Thurs-Sat), at 7:00 pm, Edina Performing Art Center at Edina High School, 6754 Valley View Road.  General admission seating.  Tickets: $6/child or senior, and $8/adult.  Cash or check only.  Available 1 hour prior to show time at the theater box office.
