Vita.mn Ranks Edina as Best Twin Cities Suburb

It's good to be the king. Especially with regards to the best Twin Cities suburbs.

In its 2012 "List of Lists," which looks at the best of the Twin Cities, arts and entertainment guide, Vita.mn selected Edina as the best suburb in the metro. Neighboring communities St. Louis Park, Minnetonka and Hopkins finished second, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Vita.mn also had high praise for a number of local businesses. was named the second-best suburban restaurant, while ranked as the third-best happy hour.

Both the  and scored a number of honors on the list, including Edina Cinema being ranked the sixth best theater in the Twin Cities and Southdale finishing seventh. The theaters were honored for their popcorn and snacks (Southdale, sixth), ticket deals (Southdale, sixth), best spot to catch indie flicks (Edina, eighth), best place to see the newest blockbuster (Southdale, third) and best small movie theater (Edina, third).

50th & France shop was named the eighth hottest local boutique, while  finished ninth.

was also honored, ranked as the Twin Cities' fourth best golf course.

Of course, no one knows the best of Edina like those actually from Edina. So  to tell your neighbors what places you think are the best. Voting is open through Aug. 17.
