WATCH: Workers Tear Down Edina's Public Works Building
Time-lapse video captured the city's demolition project. Crews will now plant the site with ground cover until a new project can be identified and built.
Edina’s former Public Works building is finally gone.
The city spent $98,700 total to demolish the building after it was declared substandard and eligible for inclusion in a future GrandView Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District. Workers will now plant ground cover on the site and leave it bare until the city selects a new project.
Those who missed the demolition can see how it happened in time-lapse video above, courtesy of Edina Channel 16.
