Why Routine Chiropractic Care? | Eden Prairie Chiropractor
The human body is just like anything else in that if you want it to perform to its best ability throughout its lifetime then it must be regularly maintained.
Here is a question I get occasionally at my office, “So how long do I have to see you for?” My answer, “You can see me for as long as you want, that is your decision; it is your health and your life. Function at your full potential and benefit from chiropractic care as long as you want. For me, I’m going to function to my full potential for my entire life, and so will my family.”
The human body is just like anything else in that if you want it to perform to its best ability throughout its lifetime then it must be regularly maintained. We change our vehicles oil routinely, not because it’s making a funny noise, but because we know it will perform better and longer if we do. We update the software on our computers, tablets, and phones because it will perform better and longer if we do. Our furnace is routinely inspected and filter changed because we know it will perform better and longer if we do. I can continue with this fun analogy game all day but the point is everything needs maintenance, and our bodies are certainly no exception.
Routine chiropractic care maintains proper nervous system function. Every action our body performs requires nervous system interaction and any interference with this interaction creates dysfunction. Our body is constantly creating new cells to replace old worn out cells; certainly I do not want dysfunction occurring with that process! By routinely checking your spine for misalignment you are taking a pro-active step to removing nervous system interference so your body can perform to its full potential. The only question I have for you then; “So how long do you want to perform to your full potential?”
