• Dairy by morning, classroom by afternoon (pipestonestar.com) — A Fairmont native is sharing her real-world dairy experience with local teens, splitting her days between Chain-O-Lakes Dairy and teaching animal science at Martin Luther High School. Thanks to a Compeer Financial grant, students from Fairmont and surrounding towns now get hands-on exposure to agriculture careers and livestock care during the new semester-long class. 
• Joyce's double powers Windom Area over Cardinals (fairmontsentinel.com) — Fairmont’s Cardinals baseball team fell 10–6 to Windom Area in Monday’s Section 3AA quarterfinal at Marshall’s Legion Field, despite a six-run second inning highlighted by big hits from the heart of Fairmont’s lineup. Now dropped into the elimination bracket, the Cardinals must win Tuesday night against either Montevideo or New London-Spicer to keep their section title hopes alive.
