• Red flag warning for 27 counties in southwestern Minnesota (fox9.com) — Faribault County is under a red flag warning Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m., meaning any outdoor fire could spread quickly. The Minnesota DNR and National Weather Service say strong winds and low humidity are creating dangerous conditions, and burning permits will not be issued in the affected counties. Residents should avoid open burning and use extra caution with any sparks.
