The Play
In the not-too-far-distant future, the world has been ravaged by war and disease. In a remote corner of what was once America a group of people have created a life out of the ashes of society. They have resorted to the Puritanical ways of early New England, going so far as to name their settlement "Salem," oblivious to the events that had taken place in their namesake town 500 years prior. "The Crucible" shows a community which ignites and burns with accusations of witchcraft, mass hysteria, and retribution. It explores the struggle of one man with his conscience, and his eventual purification.
